An Important Mandalorian Will Appear in The Book of Boba Fett (Exclusive)

The Book of Boba Fett arrives later this year and we know almost nothing about it, but I’ve heard of one The Mandalorian character to expect.

The Book of Boba Fett has just about wrapped filming (if it hasn’t already) and details on the story/set have been ridiculously tight. That said, I’ve heard word from a couple of independent sources that at least one other familiar “face” from The Mandalorian will make an appearance: Din Djarin.

In many ways, this shouldn’t be surprising in the least. Both Kathleen Kennedy and showrunner Jon Favreau mentioned that Book of Boba is “the next chapter” in The Mandalorian story/saga. While it’s a spin-off that will be focused on the iconic Bounty Hunter (which should incorporate a number of flashbacks), it will also contain story elements that will impact the story/events of The Mandalorian in some way.

The reason WHY Din Djarin shows up is something I’m unclear on and have heard a couple different explanations for. As such, I don’t want to throw the speculation here and have it misconstrued. Either way, I’m fairly certain it won’t be a large role, and something more along the lines of a cameo.

Before hearing this tidbit, I had previously heard that one of the connections made in The Book of Boba Fett to The Mandalorian series would be some references to events happening in/around Mandalore (possibly due to the fact Din has the Darksaber and not everyone is happy about it). So perhaps Din showing up has something to do with that. Who knows, either way, I’m definitely down to see more of Din.

I’ve heard whispers that other characters from The Mandalorian could pop up in Boba Fett’s series as well (some obvious, some not so much), but those have only been single-source things and we don’t do that here. Suffice it to say, I think Book of Boba Fett will have a few story connections to the current timeline being explored in live-action.

The Book of Boba Fett is set to hit Disney Plus this December.
