Will Poulter is more than ready to enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, even if he can't disclose any details just yet.

While talking with Variety about starring in Hulu's Dopesick series, Poulter dodged any spoilers about the recent announcement that he'll be playing the cosmic Marvel character Adam Warlock. "I'm not really allowed to speak about the part," he stated. "Just given that it's Marvel I'm sworn to secrecy. But [I'm] very, very grateful to, you know, be talking about something like Dopesick on one hand and talking about something — or, not talking about something — like Guardians on the other. But very, very grateful to be doing both."

Despite the secrecy, Poulter said he's "very honored" to be part of Vol. 3, which director James Gunn has confirmed will be his last in the Guardians of the Galaxy series. "Everyone I've interacted with there is great and you know, [I'm] very excited to be part of a franchise like Guardians, which I regard to be like, one of the most creative and unique," the actor continued.

Poulter's Adam Warlock casting was unveiled in early October, with the Detroit actor winning a screen test casting process that began around the end of August. Gunn then personally confirmed the news on Twitter, calling Poulter "an amazing actor and wonderful guy" before teasing a future meeting with him for Vol. 3 "in a couple weeks." Warlock's character was previously teased during one of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2's mid-credit scenes featuring Sovereign leader Ayesha.

Most recently, he appeared in Eidos-Montréal and Square Enix's Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy video game, voiced by Brent Skagford.

Meanwhile, Poulter's Dopesick costar Michael Keaton will return as his iconic Tim Burton-era Batman in DC's The Flash movie, as well as Spider-Man: Homecoming's Adrian Toomes in Sony's Morbius, whose recent trailer even featured a cameo from the Vulture actor.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 flies into theaters on May 23, 2023.
